The REM – International Engineering Journal (old REM – Revista Escola de Minas) is the first technical journal in South America. It was founded in January 1936 by students from the Escola de Minas de Ouro Preto.
REM is specialized in publishing articles in the following fields: Civil Engineering, Geoscience, Mechanics and Energy, Metallurgy and Materials, Mining and Petroleum Science
One of the factors that demonstrate the importance of REM is the number of visits to its website, about 4.3 million viewers, with some articles receiving up to 170 thousand visits.

Yes. REM has a submission fee for all articles. For the accepted articles, there is a publication fee. See: https://www.rem.com.br/pagamento-de-taxas/
The evaluation time depends on several factors, namely: selection of the Associate Editor and the reviewers. A reviewer has 10 days to accept the invitation and 30 days to analyze the article. He or she may request more time. Analysis is done by the reviewers indicated by the authors. The first decision has an estimated time of 2/3 months, depending on the reviewers. A second round of evaluation, if there are corrections to be made, follows the same procedures as the first.
